CV/Bio
Through the years I have displayed my art work in galleries throughout the United States, Europe and Canada earning some professional awards in juried art competitions. I have had one-person shows in New York (where my art was reviewed by Manhattan Arts Magazine), in Santa Fe, New Mexico and in Texas where the Houston Chronicle featured my work.
I earned a Master of Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dominican College in Houston, Texas. I studied life drawing at the Simi Art Studio in Florence, Italy for a year while attending Gonzaga University's Studies Abroad Program. Teaching experience led me to Chair the Art Department at Dominican College until it was permanently closed. I have also taught Oil Painting in the adult continuing education classes at Memorial High School for several years.
You will find that I work in many various styles with a strong realisitic influence from my studies in Florence. That influence strengthened the technique and design in my abstract work. My two other loves are photography and computer art. On this website you will see many color photographs. You will also see some of those same photographs in the Art Photo Gallery that have been abstracted by using computer software.
